and the end of the football season

After The Football Season Ended The Crowd Noise Was Gone And So Was She Still [silence]

We started walking 
     step
	          step	
Stepping Winding Aimless Sojourn Meandering 
two in step
	   step
	        step
past the creek where I used to escape to
past the horse stable housing llamas
past the houses of neighbors who went to the funeral and gave us green beans
 (so many green beans; too many green beans; a freezer full of green beans)
		step
		     stepping
		         puh-tup pah-tup 
breathing; moving; muscle memory memory memory memory
	jaws clinched; clinch; 	            
			     R e – l a x …
				            clinch clinched clinch
Remember to breathe.
           breathe in. 
		1 2 3 4 5      breathe out.
