Kitty
I saw a cat.
Hi Friend,
It’s been a while, but I’m still here, alive, well, and all that. I’ve been writing words, but I have not written many words that I want to share in this wordy space. I thought I was waiting for the proper muse, for a sufficient idea bubble, to share a poem that simmers with profound intelligence, depth, and beauty. Instead, I saw a cat.
Your Toupee Looks So Natural
The fat cat hat
perched upon your hair
is so perfectly,
there,
that I must ask,
perhaps,
could I pet it?
Its paw that dangles
down by your cheek
matches the angles
of your scars
so chic.
Or is that,
perchance,
coincidence?
The girth of it
is a little pity,
so grown it is
no longer ‘kitty,’
but ‘tis a proper
chunkster
full of fat and fur.
It’s making now
a crooked sound,
something close to
a laboring cow,
so I’ll take my leave.
See you around!
in wordy wordiness,
walter

'tis a proper / chunkser made be laugh out loud! Miss you, friend
